HOW IT WORKS
How It Works
The CYBERTRACK GPS Unit that is installed in your vehicle has two components: a GPS Tracker and a GSM Transceiver. The GPS Tracker calculates the 2-D position of your vehicle in terms of latitude and longitude by locking in to the signals of at least 3 of the GPS satellites that circle the earth at an altitude of about 20,000 km. At a regular interval that you specify and on occurrence of specific events that you want to monitor, such as Engine On/ Off the GSM Transceiver sends the current position of your vehicle via your GPS Unit’s cellular data service provider, using either GSM data or SMS, to the CYBERTRACK Central Station.
You log on to the CYBERTRACK website to check the location of all vehicles that you have registered under your CYBERTRACK account, and to view and monitor them in an interactive map. You can also query the logs and view the results in the map or in map animation format. You have an option to receive SMS notifications of location for alerts such as Engine On/Off, Over-speeding, Intrusion, Geofence In/Out, etc.
Vehicle with Cybertrack
CYBERTRACK is a service offering of CyberSoft. It is powered by MapCentral, CyberSoft’s proprietary Philippine digital map database. MapCentral’s map layers such as political boundaries, water bodies, shore lines, road networks, train lines, and landmarks are regularly validated for accuracy by field surveys and are regularly updated. With MapCentral, CYBERTRACK liberally provides you with an array of map tools such as distance measure, panning and zooming, and even allows you to define your own map layers for your customers, sites, landmarks and geofences that are integrated into reports and alerts.
